Bastille Day and Paris Olympics celebrations were a blast!

We hope you had a great time at the Olympics Bastille Day last Friday. Kids were proudly wearing the colours of the athletes they are supporting at the Olympic Games and the spirits were high and ready to enjoy!

We were much luckier with the weather than Paris a few hours later for the nonetheless magnificent Opening Ceremony.

We were so happy to see kids trying new sports that they will probably explain to you when watching the Olympics.

We had 3 amazing clubs who kindly offered their time and expertise, please contact them if your child now wants to become a Rhythmic Gymnast, Fencer or Rugbyman/woman:

Sitting (and standing) volleyball, badminton and archery were also a huge hit, thanks to new equipment donated by Decathlon.

The instant tombola aka olympic rings game was another highlight with over $5,000 worth of amazing prizes donated by our sponsors and certainly raised a lot of money (final numbers coming soon) for the renovation of our school grounds. Pretty sure everyone is now able to give a full connoisseur review of the Bonne Maman hazelnut spread.

The tummies were also well looked after with plenty of yummy food, including the crepes from O My Crepes, a creperie opening soon in Elsternwick and free fruits donated by the new Woolworths Metro recently opened on Hawthorn Road.

A huge thank you to all our parent volunteers, to the 3 clubs and to our generous sponsors: Decathlon, EFM, France at Home (Bonne Maman), Moose Toys, Sportwise, VTech Electronics and Woolworths.

We wish all the best to the Australian and French teams at the Olympic Games in Paris and to the athletes from all over the world too!
