Principals’ Day

Today is Princpals’ Day at CJC where we recognize the excellent leadership and dedication of our Principals – Mr Chant, Madame Pommier and Mr Borg. The Parent’s Committee arranged a delicious morning tea for all CJC staff, including a cheese platter for our favourite French Director. Thank you for all that you do for our students and school. 

Bastille Day / Paris Olympics Celebration 

What a wonderful celebration of the Olympics and Bastille Day last week. Thank you again to our event coordinators Maud Rocher & Marine Pesret-Thompson, as well as all of volunteers, people / companies who donated prizes and the sporting groups that came to demonstrate their sport. 

Father’s Day Breakfast Coordinator: We need an additional coordinator to assist with the Father’s Day Breakfast. The role includes menu planning, catering and logistics. You need to be available on the 29th August for preparation and the morning of 30th August. You will be assisted by an experienced coordinator and a group of volunteers. 

Father’s & Carer’s Day Breakfast and Stall: Our events for Father’s/Carer’s Day will be held on Friday, 30 August. Save the Date. 

General Matters

Child Safety: A reminder that all parents/carer’s who wish to volunteer at CJC must have a Working With Children Check – it is free for volunteers and you can apply online here: Working with Children Check (service.vic.gov.au) 

Friday Treats:   Over winter, we will sell pain aux chocolate ($4) from Reverie Café after school from 3.30pm until 3.45pm. 

CJC Families Facebook Group: Did you know that we have a CJC Facebook Group called CJC Families?  The page is used to inform our community of CJC Events, sell 2nd hand uniform, find a babysitter and more. The page is private, and you must be a CJC community member and answer the questions to join. 

EFM - Call for Volunteers: The EFM provides a range of francophone services to our CJC community, including running the ever-popular EFM after school activities. The EFM is looking for additional volunteers to support the management of these programs and other programs. Joining the EFM IS a great way to deepen your francophone connections at CJC and beyond. Please contact president@efm.org.au if you can assist. 

Gardening Club:  We also have some interested parents who have established a CJC Parent Gardening Team to assist Madame Wilson’s STEM and Garden Program.  Contact us at caulfieldjuniorpc@gmail.com
