Performing Arts

It’s been a fantastic and energetic couple of weeks in Performing Arts!
Junior and Senior Choir have both begun rehearsals, and it has been wonderful to see so many students singing with enthusiasm and confidence. Our Prep students have also been busy learning a special dance to perform at the end of term assembly, showing lots of enjoyment as they develop their coordination and performance skills.
In Years 1 and 2, students have been exploring dance from different cultures, learning the beautiful Chinese Fan Dance in celebration of Chinese New Year, as well as the joyful and expressive Hula dance. Meanwhile, our Year 3 and 4 students have been developing their mime skills, working on using facial expressions and body language to tell stories without words.
Our Year 5 and 6 students have started preparing for upcoming production auditions by learning about script structure and character development. It has been exciting to see their creativity grow as they begin bringing characters to life.
Have a fabulous weekend!
