Delicious Pizzas were made by 3C, 5A and 5B with freshly harvested tomatoes, spinach, basil, rosemary, saltbush, oregano and bay leaves.  The students enjoyed exploring the garden to see what was growing and did a wonderful job of ensuring that the plants were watered.

3A made Cucumber and Tomato Salad with mint, Zucchini and Corn Fritters and Apple and Rhubarb Crumble. Silverbeet, mint, cucumbers, tomatoes, apples and rhubarb were harvested from the garden to create these tasty dishes.

You can see by looking at the photos that the students had a great time!

Kitchen Garden Volunteers Required

To successfully run kitchen sessions it is vital that we have volunteers. It has been wonderful to meet new volunteers but we still require more.  If you are able to help please get in contact with me.

Here are some photos capturing the fun Year 1 and 2 students had during Food Tech on Thursday!  They made healthy bruschetta using tomatoes and basil from the garden.  It was delicious!
