PFA Welcome Drinks tomorrow evening
The PFA is hosting 2026 Welcome Drinks at The Bank (75A Koornang Rd) from 7pm tomorrow night. Drinks will be at bar prices.
This is open to all new and returning CPS families and you definitely don’t need to be a PFA member to attend. All welcome but please leave the kids at home!
Get involved in 2026!
There are plenty of ways for parents to get involved with PFA fundraising and events in 2026. Whether it be taking on a formal PFA position, coordinating an ongoing or one-off event, or simply signing up for volunteer slots via SignUp, all parent contributions help to enhance the CPS community.
We’ve put together this handy visual calendar to give you an idea of the events and fundraisers we’re planning this year. If you’d like to put your hand up to get involved in one or more of these events, either come along to an upcoming PFA meeting or drop us an email: pfa@carnegieps.vic.edu.au
All CPS parents and carers are also warmly invited to register as PFA member by filling out this short form: https://forms.gle/1vSLqc7Wx6QuoXrR6
Current one-off volunteering opportunities
We have been thrilled to secure new volunteer leads for IcyPole Friday and the Scholastic Book Club for 2026. In addition to volunteer coordinators, we also need parents to put their hands up for one-off volunteer slots throughout the year via SignUp.
Our wonderful new Icy Pole Friday coordinators Megan and Anja, along with Second-Hand Uniform Stall coordinator Rebecca, are currently seeking parent volunteers to help out on one or more days during Term 1.
Second Hand Uniform Stall - Mondays 3:15-3:45pm
Icy Poles - Fridays 1-2:30pm

Easter Raffle Coordinator needed!
The PFA is seeking new volunteer/s to coordinate what is arguably the highlight of the CPS calendar - our much loved Easter Raffle!
This year’s Easter Raffle will be drawn at the whole school assembly on Thursday 2 April (last day of term). Please note the PFA can take care of the tech side of the raffle. What we’re looking for is for someone to do the fun bit - organising the collection and packing of all the delicious raffle prizes!
The role would suit a parent or small group of parents who are looking to give back to the school in a meaningful way, but aren’t able to commit to a year-round position or role.
The PFA will provide induction and ongoing support to any new raffle coordinators, will take care of any communication or promotion required, and can also help source additional volunteer support via SignUp.
Raffle coordinator/s responsibilities include:
- Liaise with PFA Comms Lead regarding ticket sales via Qkr & call-outs for raffle donations
- Contact Lizzy’s on Koornang to seek support/donation of major prize
- Arrange tubs to be placed in each classroom for 2-week collection period and empty classroom donations a few times both weeks (to avoid students helping themselves to or accidentally breaking them!)
- Source baskets and hampers for prizes, along ribbons, cellophane etc required for wrapping prizes (any costs will be reimbursed)
- Run hamper packing night 2 or 3 days prior to the event. PFA will assist in recruiting additional volunteers to assist with packing
- Help transport hampers to the hall on the day of the assembly/raffle draw (with assistance from student helpers)
- Pack up and transport any uncollected hampers to the office.
If you are interested in taking on or learning more about the role, please email pfa@carnegieps.vic.edu.au
