Staff Professional Learning Update

Recently, our teachers participated in a professional learning session focused on strengthening classroom instruction across the school.

Staff worked together to deepen their understanding of our CPS Instructional Playbook and how it supports consistent, high-quality teaching in every classroom. We revisited research on strategies that promote active participation and increase students’ opportunities to respond during lessons — approaches that are strongly linked to improved engagement and learning outcomes.

Teachers also reflected on their current classroom practice and identified clear next steps to continue refining their teaching. It was a highly collaborative session, with teams sharing ideas and learning from one another to ensure the best outcomes for our students.
