Dear Families,
National Apology Day marks the anniversary of the National Apology to the Stolen

Generations delivered in 2008. It acknowledges the deep harm caused by past policies that resulted in the forced removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families, cultures and communities.
At school, this day was acknowledged through prayer, providing space for reflection and remembrance. As a Catholic community, we recognise that prayer and acknowledgement on this day are important - but they are not enough on their own.
Our faith calls us to uphold the dignity of every person, to seek justice, and to commit to reconciliation in our words, choices and actions each day. Respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their cultures, histories and ongoing connection to Country must be reflected not only on this anniversary, but in the life and work of our community throughout the year.
We mark this anniversary with humility and hope, recognising the responsibility we share to listen, to learn, and to walk together towards healing, justice and reconciliation.
Enjoy your weekend,
