Dear Parents and Caregivers, 

Learning flourishes in classrooms that are calm, predictable and safe. This term, we are revisiting our behaviour expectations and routines, ensuring they are consistently understood and enacted across the College.

Staff are working with students to strengthen clear entry and exit routines, reinforce behaviour expectations that reflect the St Mary’s Way, and implement restorative processes when things go wrong. Our aim is not simply compliance, but the development of a culture in which students take responsibility, repair harm and learn from their mistakes. 

Families can support this by speaking with their children about behaviour as a way of showing respect for the learning of others. When we are united around high expectations, students are more likely to meet them.
