Principal's Report
Simone Roy
After a water bomb fight and school cleanup, we said goodbye and good luck to our Year 12s at the traditional Year 12 morning tea, hosted by the staff. The End of School celebrations started on Tuesday afternoon with their 'last assembly', followed by decorating the school and then the Transition BBQ and activities evening, concluding with the clean up and farewell morning tea on Wednesday. Saying goodbye to a year level is a sad time, mixed with excitement as we wish them well for their future endeavours.

Students sitting the end of year exams have a week of study time, before the English exam on Tuesday, which is the first exam with others to follow until the last exam on the 19th of November. Students are welcome and encouraged to return to school at their scheduled class time for extra study/exam practice and support with their teachers.
Those not sitting exams, and if they have satisfactorily completed their coursework have now finished school forever. These students should take some time to enjoy a well deserved rest after a very busy, and at times, stressful year. Teachers are still available for any students who still have work to complete.
The works have been continuing around us all, and apart from annoying noises at times, have generally been having minimal interruption to our daily routines. Everyone has seemed to have settled into the 'toilet routine', but please don't hesitate to contact school if your child needs extra support at this time.
In a positive turn of events, the termites were found early, before they were able to do much damage, so the building works haven't been slowed and no expensive repair works are required!
Next week, being Week 4, the Term 4 Mid Term Progress Reports will be published to families in Compass on Friday afternoon. These reports focus on learning behaviours, with all students expected to be able to achieve a score of 3 for each habit. Please note, homework is not assessed this time but will be assessed in the Week 8 Progress Reports.
