Music Corner

Thanks to the students who have put in some extra practise at home to get our ‘tricky’ bits of Star Wars perfected. It would be wonderful if all students could be moving on to solos/duets and carols this term. 

Trumpets should be focusing on ‘Oh When the Saints’.

Trombones are working on the last two sections of Star Wars. Plus the first few bars of their new piece. 

Flutes have a duet and/or Carol of the Bells (both parts) to work through. 

Clarinets have some issues with Star Wars in the last section, going from G to A and A to B. Otherwise, they can be playing any of their carols. 

Piano students all have a new piece. 

Our percussionist has a glock solo to memorise and, as always, a drum roll to perfect.  Don’t forget Ed’s Perfect!

If your child is unable to practise at home, please contact Mrs Thomsen privately so we can work together to ensure they practise at least twice a week at school during breaks.
