Dear families,
The new Enterprise Bargaining Agreement for Catholic Education schools in Queensland came into effect at the beginning of the year after being approved by the Fair Work Commission.
A new section entitled Right to Disconnect was included in this updated agreement. This ensures staff have the right to disconnect from work, and not respond to or engage with, work-related communications.
After staff consultation, a designated span of hours and a response time to communication was decided. Therefore, our teaching staff are expected to respond to communication between 8.30am and 3.30pm on school days, and to do so within 48 hours of receiving it.
