RAID 2024

RAID 2024 thus far has been sensational as you can see from the student reflections from Jack J and George H. We have spent many of the RAID days in the local community, except for the last RAID day of Term 1 Year 9 all went to Docklands, took part in Glow Mini Golf and ArtVo as well as the Police Museum.

We are all excited for some of the upcoming activities this term students will be visiting a range of cites in CBD including the Immigration Museum, Melbourne University Science Gallery, The Old Melbourne Goal, the MSG, The Arts Centre, a Cruise along the Yarra and the 360 All Stars also at the Arts Centre. Students will also be taking part in a range of walking tours in the CBD such as the Laneways Tour and Street Art Tours. Students will continue to do their fortnightly reflections and we look forward to sharing some more with you in the future.

Today in RAID we did mostly incursions. Those incursions consisted of a challenge, African drumming and a science show. We got to go into Gisborne to get lunch and walk around for a bit.

Respect: Today I used respect by being nice and holding doors for locals and asking how their day was.

Achievement: I achieved being able to get to certain places on time.

Innovation: I had to be creative and think of stuff to do with the time we had in Gisborne.

Diversity: Everyone had a diverse range of what they were going to do some people went shopping and others went and sat in a park.

During our second day of RAID we went to the Gisborne Lawn Bowls club.

We demonstrated Respect by listening to the people explaining the game and looking after the bowls and green.

We achieved learning about bowls and getting much better at it.

Many people think bowls is just a sport for old people, but we proved it is very diverse and can be played by people of all genders and ages.
