VCE-VM Work Related Skills Gardening Project

On March 22nd, our Year 12 students transformed into garden gurus, hosting a special Inclusion Garden event for their Year 7 peers! This event wasn't just about cultivating beautiful greenery; it was part of their Work Skills coursework, focusing on leadership and communication skills.

The afternoon began with group games to break the ice. Then, armed with gloves and smiles, everyone headed outdoors to tackle the tasks at hand. From mulching pathways to planting seedlings, watering, and weeding, the garden buzzed with collaborative activity.

This wasn't just about planting seeds; it was about planting the seeds of leadership, communication, and inclusivity. By the end of the day, not only were the garden beds looking spiffy, but new friendships had blossomed, and valuable skills had been practiced by all. A successful day indeed!
