Year 9 Great Ocean Walk
From March 4th - 8th, the Year 9's completed a five day trek along the Great Ocean Walk. This is designed to be a challenging, yet achievable experience for students. Students planned and prepared their own meals and carried their equipment while hiking through amazing coastal scenery. This five-day camp counts towards the Adventurous Journey for their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award. Well done to all involved.

VCE Psychology - Learning About Learning
In Unit 3 Psychology, we have been learning about how we learn. We had a great time putting classical conditioning (think Pavlov’s dogs) into practice by conditioning our brave volunteer to flinch when the word CAN was spoken. Before conditioning he had no problem with the word CAN but he did flinch when sprayed in the face by water. When we paired the word CAN with the spray he quickly learned to associate the two. After a while, he flinched at the word CAN by itself. Job done!

Amanda from the People and Wellbeing department spoke to the students about managing human resources, including training, recruitment, staff wellbeing, performance management and awards and agreements. This experience allowed the students to see how a local organisation manages their staff.
