SPOTLIGHT
YEAR 3
We are thrilled to share the latest updates on Year 3's journey this school year! Our students showcased their swimming abilities at the school swimming carnival, with many demonstrating exceptional skills and sportsmanship at the Dio swimming carnival.
In the classroom, students engaged in a creative Cold Write, exploring the imaginative scenario of waking up to discover their pets could talk. To spark their creativity, we had a blast dressing up as vets and animals, encouraging the students to explore the endless possibilities of conversations and adventures with their newfound chatty companions.
This week we started NAPLAN assessments. We all wrote imaginative stories yesterday about a boat, with students choosing a vast array of boats to write about, some had cruise ships, pirate ships, canoe and kayaks. We are so proud of their creativity. Today we conquered the reading test and we are so confident in our great Year 3 readers.
Tomorrow is Conventions of Language which is spelling and grammar and on Monday we will do the numeracy test. The students have all taken it in their stride and have displayed maturity this week. Well done Year 3.
It has been a joy getting to know Year 3, and we eagerly anticipate a fantastic year ahead filled with growth, learning, shared accomplishments and of course some dress ups.
