Roselea’s Stage 2 tee-ball teams have demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship in every game they have played. Our school should be so proud that, from the very first week they played, and without being asked, they have waved to, and greeted the opposing team on their arrival at the field, setting a tone of respect and enthusiasm for the game. This has continued over the four games they have played so far.

Our teams’ commitment to improvement is evident in their early morning 8:00 practices. They have approached each training session with smiling faces, a positive attitude and a desire to develop their skills and knowledge of the intricate rules of tee-ball.

Some highlights from our games so far have been, Samuel and Diya being the first team members to tag someone out from the other team, Mansa catching the ball ‘on the full’, Hayley’s throwing prowess from the pitcher’s base to home base and Henry’s awareness of the game, by calling to his team mates when bases are loaded. The students have also enjoyed sharing the captaincy role each week.

Throughout their games, Roselea students have exemplified resilience and have continued to try their best. It is wonderful to see how they initiate encouragement, lifting each other up and fostering a supportive environment for all their team members. I am so proud that their focus hasn’t been solely on winning; rather they prioritise having fun, learning along the way and showing respect to others. It has been heartening to hear feedback from other school’s coaches who have commended our Roselea team for their encouraging and positive sportsmanship.

Stage 2 tee-ball teams should be very proud of their efforts. Keep up the great effort!
