Library News

We have had a great start to the year and a fantastic term.  It is busy in the library every day, with our children continuing to show a love of reading.  Most of our children are borrowing every week and love reading the large variety of books we have.  Our library is open every lunchtime after the half bell, and we have many students who enjoy reading or just finding a quiet space to sit and reflect.

Reading books remains an activity that our Roselea children love to do.  Please enjoy reading during the holidays.

Library Leaders

I couldn’t run the library as efficiently without the help of my amazing library leaders.  They come each day to complete a myriad of jobs.  They are efficient and willing to tackle any task I ask of them.  I appreciate all that they do, and it is fantastic to see how much they are learning about the library also.

I also have a gorgeous group of year 3 students who come each Monday and Tuesday who help put away the picture and junior books.  They do an amazing job and rarely miss a day.  I appreciate their help also.

PRC

A reminder to our 3-6 students to remember to continue to enter books they read onto the Premier’s Reading Challenge website.  If children are having difficulty with this, then they can write the names of the books down and I can help them when term 2 begins.

The K-2 teachers and I are keeping lists of books read, so there is no need to worry about keeping lists for the K-2 children.
