Sports Update
Cross Country
We were blessed with beautiful weather for our Cross Country event this year. Once again, Damien and his team at the Glen Innes Golf Club had the grounds looking immaculate and generously provided us with their facilities for the day. John Cameron and Sharon Jarvis conducted all the heavy lifting for us to make sure all the equipment was set up and ready for us to use. Mel from Floatin’ Around Coffee Van was vital in getting us through the day and the team at the Lions Van kept us continuously energised. Thank you to all of these people.
The sportsmanship and participation we witnessed by the students on this day made our whole school community so proud of them. Whether they were running, cheering or helping teachers, it was a sight to behold. Well done children!
We say it after every event, however I will say it again, we have the best parents at our school! We need your help to make these days a success and we are always grateful that you take time out of your busy days to help us. So thank you to; Belinda Stanton, Allana Price, Margot Davis, Tara Looker, Matt Falconer, Michael Van der Waal, Sue-Ellen Cooper, Kylie Neville, Krystle Nugent, Mark Barratt, Donna McAllister, Tahleia Gerlofsma, Nicole Watson, Alise McBain, Adriana Pietsch, Tess Lonergan, Joanne Wright, Molly Chard, Casey Chard, Gail Davis and Matt Pope. It was reassuring knowing our students were safe and cared for out on the course.
Thank you also to our amazing staff! Everyone chipped in and helped to make the day run smoothly and I am forever grateful for their support. So many behind the scenes tasks need to be done and I know I can always rely on our fabulous staff to step up to the plate. Cheryl Muldoon deserves a special mention. She regularly reaches out to me to let me know she is available to help as a volunteer. We appreciate all you do for us Cheryl! You're a true gem!

Last Friday, Sam Barratt participated in the Polding League Trials for the 11 years age group. It was a great day with plenty of talent showcased from all the different Diocese in the top half of NSW. Unfortunately, Sam was not selected in the Polding team however, he learnt a lot from the experience. Well done Sam!
Sport
This term we will have an athletics expert, Jay Stone, coaching our students in a variety of athletics skills in preparation for our Athletics Carnival. We look forward to having Jay at our school providing quality teaching of these skills.
