From the Assistant Principal

Dear Parents,

It's hard to believe we have come to the end of the year. And what a year it has been! We are so lucky that a centenary only comes around once every 100 years. We certainly found ways to celebrate over the course of the year. 

A big thank you to all who have contributed to our community throughout the year. Parents, teachers and students make St Patrick's the great place it is.

I wish you all a restful break, filled with lots of fun times. I look forward to welcoming Mr Darcy to our community in 2025 and I ask all of you to keep Mrs Burfield in your prayers during this time of struggle. 

 STAFF CHANGES

As mentioned in previous newsletters, Mrs Cook and Miss Williams will be leaving St Patrick's at the end of 2024. We wish them all the best as they embark on their new adventures. Mrs Trew and Mrs Hardie are also finishing as they prepare for the birth of their new babies. Miss Redwin will also be taking 6 months leave and will be returning in Term 3 2025.

We would like to welcome Miss Nicole Perin and Miss Jaclyn Sherman to our staff in 2025. Miss Perin will be teaching Year 3 and Miss Sherman Year 4. 

Mrs Claudia Ramsey will also be joining our staff to work with Miss Dorrough in Year 1 two days per week. We also welcome back Mrs Kate Sarah McGlaughlin who is returning from parental leave to work in Year 4 with Mrs Gill.

We would also like to welcome Miss Taylah Hindmarch who will be replacing Miss Redwin in her extended absence.

STUDENT LEADERS 2025

Congratulations to our 2025 student leaders. They will work closely with Mrs Moss and myself to be an active presence around the school and all its activities next year.

SCHOOL RETURN DATES

A reminder that school resumes for Years 1-6 on Tuesday 4th February. Our 2025 Kindergarten students will join us on Wednesday 5th February. 

STAFF DEVELOPMENT DAYS 2025

This is currently being finalised and the full list will be sent out to families early in the new year.

YEAR 6 CANBERRA 2025

The Year 6 Canberra Excursion will be on 29-30 May 2025. More details to follow at the start of the year.
