Principal's Message
Dear Parents, Carers and the St Patrick’s Community,
On behalf of Mrs Burfield, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the school community for their contributions during 2024.
At St Patrick’s we have dedicated teachers who know each student and are able to cater for their needs. For this to occur there are many people behind the scenes who assist them. I would like to acknowledge the office staff, Mrs Mitsoulis, Mrs Harmston, and Mrs Cahill, a huge thank you for everything you do to ensure every person is welcomed and supported. To our many learning support officers (LSOs), thank you for supporting the teachers on a daily basis. To our parents, thank you for your ongoing support and positive feedback. This is vital so we can improve practices and build on our strengths. A big thank you to our students, who are kind and focused and willing to follow the Nagle Values. Year 6, thank you for your positive contribution to the school throughout your seven years at St Patrick’s. Good luck for your future high school years.
During the holiday period I would encourage all parents to be diligent with supervising their children when they are accessing the internet and having regular conversations with them. Although they may be communicating with their friends it is important to monitor the content of their interactions. It is very easy for them to share an unacceptable comment when they are upset and this can quickly escalate. At school we have seen the impact this has had after a weekend or holiday period.
Thank you for welcoming me into your school’s community and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the school.
To conclude, I would like to wish you a safe, happy, holy Christmas, and I hope you can take time to celebrate the birth of Jesus and enjoy quality time with your families and friends.
