Italian

Ciao from Signora Bassily!

Dear St. Patrick’s Primary School community,

I’m so excited to reintroduce myself as Signora Bassily, and I am honored to be your Italian teacher this year! Together, we’ll explore the wonderful world of Italy through its language, culture, and traditions.

This year, our Italian program will be both fun and immersive, as we learn the language through song, dance, and role-playing. Students will have the chance to express themselves in Italian by participating in interactive activities that help them practice speaking and listening in a dynamic way. We will also dive into some of Italy’s most famous cities and monuments, such as the Colosseum, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the canals of Venice, all while learning interesting facts about these incredible places.

Throughout the year, students will learn how to describe themselves and others in Italian, expanding their vocabulary with new words to express who they are and what they like. We’ll also be exploring Italian food and sports, learning about the country’s culinary delights, as well as its passion for football (soccer) and other popular games.

In addition, we are in the process of planning an exciting Italian Day that will bring all these wonderful aspects of Italy to life—stay tuned for more details!

I can’t wait to share this fun-filled journey with all of our students and to help them discover the beauty of the Italian language and culture. Together, we’ll make this a year to remember!

With enthusiasm,
