CSPS Drum Corps

This year, at the Governor’s Request, a small, tight and very enthusiastic contingent of the Caulfield South Primary School Drum Corps attended the Australia Day Celebrations at Government House.

With their exemplary dress and bearing and razor sharp drill and stick work, they entertained the crowds as they marched from location to location around the pristine gardens of The Governor’s Residence.

Their meticulous new uniforms drew great praise and many members of the armed forces both Commissioned and Non Commissioned,  complimented the Corps on their outstanding performances. They also  received thunderous applause whenever they played.

After a spot of Bollywood Dancing on the main lawn and a tour of the residence, The Corps finished their day with a rousing ANZAC routine at the main gate just as the open day was coming to a close. A huge thank you to the parents and guardians who got the students to the gig and the many family members and friends who attended to support The Corps.

It truly was a sensational experience not only for the Corps, but also for the public who attended on the day.

The Corps received a congratulatory message from the Governor’s office who passed on the Governor’s thanks and appreciation.

Mr A.R Hood,

Master of the Corps.
