Sportsman of the Year Award 

On Thursday 12th December 2024, we held our St Mary of the Angels Presentation Night. Hugo Sisson was recognised for his outstanding sporting achievements this year. Well done Hugo!

 

Hugo Citation - 

The St Mary of the Angels Primary School Sportsperson of the Year for 2024 is very talented and skilful across a broad range of sports. He displays confidence and determination in all aspects of sport. 

 

He has represented St Mary of the Angels in Swimming, Rugby League, Cricket, Cross Country, Athletics and Touch Football this year at Armidale Diocesan events.

His achievements this year has seen him awarded the St Mary of the Angels Junior Boy Champion at our school Athletics Carnival, Cross Country and Swimming Carnival where he also set a number of school records. 

 

Whilst representing St Mary of the Angels at Diocesan events, he gained selection into the Diocesan Athletics, Cross Country and Rugby League teams. From there, he went on to be selected in the Polding Rugby League Team. 

 

With all these achievements in mind, he participates in his chosen sports at a high level. This student is a very deserving recipient of St Mary of the Angels Sportsperson of the Year Award for 2024. 

 

2025 Carnival Dates

We are currently looking at carnival dates for 2025 in line with the current draft 2025 Armidale Diocesan Sporting calendar. We will communicate these dates with families once they have been booked. 

 

Swimming Carnival - Friday 14th February 2025 (Guyra)

Cross Country Carnival - Friday 14th March 2025 (Guyra)

Athletics Carnival - Thursday 19th June 2025 (Armidale)
