'Push Limits, Embrace Growth and Make It Count'

Year 12 Orientation

On Wednesday, the 29th of January, our Year 12s kicked off the 2025 academic year with an orientation day held at Federation University. The day focussed on expectations, what

it means to be a year 12 student at Berwick College, study advice facilitated by the team from Elevate, and other sessions including stress management, organisation, and careers advice. The day was a chance for the cohort to get to know each other and their homegroup teachers. It was great to see everyone enjoying the BBQ lunch on the lawn, mingling with their teachers, and showing genuine excitement and eagerness to be undertaking their final year of study at Berwick College.

Students also received their long-awaited year 12 jackets, which have been proudly worn around the school despite the recent extreme heat.

VCE Study Hacks

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting students in achieving their best results, Year 12 students have been given the opportunity to register for the Study Hacks seminar on Tuesday, 11th February. This session will provide valuable insights and strategies to enhance study efficiency.

Students will be given access to future seminars covering subject-specific success, stress management, and study skills. Keep your eyes on compass to register for the next event.

Elevate

For students to succeed in VCE and VCE-VM, it is essential for schools and homes to work together in partnership. This collaboration creates a supportive environment where students can thrive both academically and emotionally. By maintaining open communication and aligning goals, schools and homes can reinforce the importance of discipline, time management and self-motivation, helping students navigate the challenges of VCE. As such we have engaged Elevate who will be providing support for our students and families.
