FRONT COVER: All Schools' Triathlon Challenges

2024 Schools’ Triathlon Challenges

On Thursday and Friday last week Secondary and Primary students had the opportunity to compete against other schools in the Schools' Triathlon Challenges. Students could either participate as part of a team or as an individual doing all 3 legs (swimming, cycling and running). Our students did an amazing job showing bravery and confidence as they stepped out of their comfort zones. 

Students involved represented SCC very well and showed excellent teamwork. 

Well done to all our triathlon participants!

Thank you for bringing hope!

Thank you to all those who donated items for the Bags of Hope for The Salvation Army Kingborough-Huon Salvos to distribute to those who are struggling this Christmas. Six bags of groceries were delivered, and Captain Roz has sent this message of thanks:

I would like to say a huge thank you for the Bags of Hope I have found in my office today. Christmas is such an opportunity of our community to support each other and Southern Christian College has done this so generously.

School Fees were due last Friday.

Reports for all students will be circulated via email to parents on Friday 13 December.

No Parent Teacher Evening

There will not be a Parent Teacher Evening this term. If you would like to talk to your child's teacher, please contact them directly via email.

Return of Instruments

Can all musical instruments which belong to Southern Christian College please be returned to the office?

We need to have these accounted for and serviced over the holidays.

ALL Library books need to be returned this week! Please look under beds and on book shelves.

School Picnic

Friday 13 December - Last day of school!

The School Picnic is be held in two locations:

Primary Picnic at Kingston Park

Secondary Picnic at Long Beach

Students will be transported to and from each location, and more information will be available in the Consent2Go which will be sent out shortly. Please could students bring a hat, water bottle and snacks to supplement their sausage sizzle lunch, which will be provided by the school.
