The Kinross Wolaroi Internship Program offers Year 10 students an invaluable experiential learning opportunity. Students are placed in various industries one day a week throughout a semester, gaining hands-on experience while collaborating with businesses on projects. This successful program fosters community engagement, builds resilience, and encourages students to step outside their comfort zones.
On Wednesday 5 March, students, parents, and host businesses came together to celebrate the achievements of the 2024 Year 10 interns. The Year 11 Hospitality class provided exceptional catering, with Jessica Wood—who interned at Second Mouse Cheese—creating outstanding halloumi sliders with pickles and caramelised onion.
The event highlighted the personal growth of our students and the invaluable mentorship provided by host businesses. Students shared reflective speeches about their experiences, emphasising the impact of their internships within the community.
