This week is the beginning of Lent.

On Ash Wednesday, Students in grade 4 to grade 6 will attend mass at St Mary’s church, while the grade 1 to grade 3 will take part in a liturgy in the Multipurpose room.

The beginning of lent means that project compassion will also start for this year, which is an opportunity for families to give what money/change they have to a donation box in each classroom in our school. Teachers will explain this further in class.

After the long weekend, on Tuesday the 11th of March at 10am all students will attend our Beginning of school Mass at St Mary’s church. This is a lovely opportunity for our school community to come together to celebrate the start of another year.

As shared in our last week’s newsletter, St Mary’s Parish Sacramental Meeting for parents will be on Thursday 13th of March. This will be for families who have children in Grade 2 and above intending to complete reconciliation, confirmation and Eucharist.
