3/4 Classroom News

Swimming
What a beautiful week it's been for swimming! The 3/4 students have displayed some great skills in the water and even better resilience. Ms Elborough and Mrs Haw have been so impressed with their determination and "Can Do" attitude this week.
Literacy
The students have been practising their reading comprehension skills and fluency in reading. They have been enjoying learning to read our model text "The Caravan" and using it to learn the correct structure of a narrative. Their narrative writing is coming along nicely and we look forward to seeing the end results.
Maths
This fortnight in Maths, we are continuing with lots of number work, including adding and subtracting from 6 digit numbers and place value to the tens of thousands. It has been exciting watching the students' progress and to hear them get so excited about Maths.
Senior Citizens
Last week, we attended the Senior Citizens with some vegie gardens and vegies donated from Bunnings. The 3/4 students have been watering them daily and keeping an eye on their growth. Next week, we will start sending small groups over to the Senior Citizens to support them with their gardening. The Senior Citizens are extremely grateful for our help and we look forward to continuing our partnership with them.
