Leadership Expo

Term 1 Week 5

Recently, our Student Leaders hosted an exciting Leadership Expo, designed to showcase the many leadership opportunities available at our College and encourage more students to get involved. Held in the Multi-Purpose Centre (MPC), the event was a vibrant and interactive experience, with each leadership group setting up their own stall to share information, answer questions, and inspire their peers to take on new challenges.

Students had the chance to explore a diverse range of leadership pathways, each offering unique opportunities for personal growth, teamwork, and service to the College community. Among the many groups represented were:

  • The White Dove Café Team – A hands-on opportunity for students to gain hospitality experience.
  • Music Leadership – A place for passionate musicians to take the lead in performances, events, and music-related initiatives.
  • Student Representative Council (SRC) – The voice of the student body, where students can contribute ideas, advocate for change, and help shape College life.
  • ‘Involve’ – Community Event Management Team – A brand-new group dedicated to organising and managing events that bring the College and local community together.
  • STEM Leadership Team – A group for students interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, offering opportunities to lead STEM-related projects, mentor younger students, and engage in innovative problem-solving.

The expo was a fantastic success, with many students signing up and making a positive impact on College life. It was inspiring to see so much enthusiasm as students discovered new ways to contribute, develop their leadership skills, and be a part of something bigger.

We are excited to see how our new and returning student leadership groups will shape the rest of the year with their energy, passion, and commitment!
