Year 7 Kick Off Camp

Term 1 Week 6

Last week, our Year 7 students embarked on an unforgettable adventure at the Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre for their annual 'Kick Off Camp'. This three-day experience is designed to help students form new friendships, strengthen their connections with peers and teachers, and build confidence as they continue their transition into Secondary School life.

From the moment they arrived, excitement filled the air as students settled into their cabins and explored the stunning surroundings. The recreation centre provided a welcoming and comfortable environment, complete with delicious meals that kept everyone energised for the action-packed days ahead.

The camp itinerary was filled with a variety of outdoor and team-building activities, encouraging students to step outside their comfort zones, try new things, and work together. Whether they were navigating the frisbee golf course, tackling bike tracks of varying difficulty, or racing down a massive water slide, there was no shortage of fun and adventure. Students also tested their skills with remote-controlled cars, took on hiking challenges, and embraced every opportunity to bond as a team.

By the end of the camp, friendships had deepened, confidence had grown, and memories had been made that will last well beyond Year 7. The 'Kick Off Camp' truly set the stage for a fantastic year ahead, and we are so proud of how our students embraced the experience with enthusiasm and positivity.

We can't wait to see how they carry these lessons of teamwork, resilience, and adventure into the rest of the school year!
