Kitchen Garden Update

In Week 3, our Year 3 students had their exciting introduction to the Kitchen Garden program! Both classes participated in a combined kitchen and garden session, working alongside staff and parent volunteers.
During the session, students learned how to care for the chickens, sort and prepare food scraps for compost, identify garden tools and their uses, and recognize different plants in our kitchen garden. Additionally, two groups prepared and shared fruit with the whole class, learning various chopping techniques and important knife safety skills.
Check out these posters showcasing the three different cutting techniques we use in the kitchen
This term, all students will have the opportunity to complete each of the six activities introduced in our first session.
A huge thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers! Your support makes this program possible!
