NSATIS Update:

It has been an incredible season for our NSATIS Leighland Lions teams, with our Boys and Girls Tennis teams, as well as our Senior Boys Basketball team, all remaining unbeaten as we head into the final two rounds of competition. This dominant run has placed the Lions in a historic position, with all three teams in contention to not only make their respective Grand Finals, but to potentially host them for the first time in school history!

Our Boys and Girls Tennis teams have been unstoppable on the court, demonstrating exceptional skill, teamwork, and perseverance. Their dedication in match play has seen them outclass their opposition week after week.

Likewise, our Senior Boys Basketball team has showcased outstanding determination, executing strong performances in every round and proving themselves to be the standout top team in the competition.

With just two rounds to go, these teams are focused on finishing the regular season strongly with games in Burnie and Launceston still to come. The possibility of hosting Grand Finals here on our home grounds is an exciting prospect, and we encourage our school community to get behind our athletes as they push for a first Leighland NSATIS trophy. Stay tuned for further updates, and let’s continue to support our teams as they strive for excellence!

Athletics Carnival Update:

What an incredible day we had at this year’s Leighland Christian School Athletics Carnival! From start to finish, the energy was high, the competition was fierce, and the spirit of sportsmanship was on full display.

A huge congratulations to Luther, who claimed victory as the overall winning team! Every house competed with passion, and it was fantastic to see so many students giving their best efforts across all track and field events.

This year was particularly special as we welcomed Senior students to the carnival for the first time ever. Their participation set a new benchmark, with records now established in the Year 11/12 category, ready to be challenged in the years to come.

Looking ahead, we are excited for the NSATIS Athletics Carnival next Tuesday 18 March. We can’t wait to see our talented athletes represent Leighland Christian School and showcase their incredible skills on the big stage. Best of luck to all competitors—go team Leighland!
