Invitation to Parents of Children making their First Holy Communion
Parents of children who are making their First Holy Communion are warmly invited to join us on Friday, 28th March for a special retreat morning. We will begin with Mass with your child, before you will join me to make a special mosaic cross keepsake gift for your child to mark this meaningful occasion. We will then be rejoined by the children to enjoy a morning tea together.
We look forward to sharing this special time with you! Children may dress in Mufti.
Please RSVP before Tuesday, 25th March for catering and materials.
- Choose the Right Spot: Sunflowers thrive in sunny locations. Find a spot in your garden that receives plenty of sunlight.
- Give them space to grow: In a garden bedwith well-draining soil, sow sunflower seeds 2cm deep and about 60cm apart.
- Ensure the soil is moist: Gently cover seeds with soil and water. Consider placing a light layer of mulch over the seedlings to help keep the soil moist and protect seeds from hungry birds.
- How long will they take? Your sunflowers should begin to bloom within 6-10 days.
As we plant these seeds, let us also plant seeds of hope in our hearts, nurturing them with faith, love, and kindness. May this Lenten season be a time of growth and renewal for all of us.
Thank you!
