Before & After School Care

Weekly TheirCare Highlights Term 1 Week 6 TheirCare Adventure
Here is our land, here is our sky, here are our children and here am I. We stand together hand in hand to appreciate the Aboriginal People of this land.
This week our children from Lalor East PS and St John XXIII PS were able to explore variety of indoor, outdoor and gym learning experiences. The highlight of our week were our children who have had their birthdays this week. It was awesome to see everyone give and share ideas on what cakes we should do to celebrate their birthday.
We also were able to explore outdoors and play group games where all children were able to engage and be able to use their imagination to make up some new games. Outdoor play allows children to learn physical skills that may be difficult to practice at home. This could include jumping, climbing, cycling, skating, or team sports.
REMINDER:
Dear families here at Lalor East TheirCare we work hard to provide an engaging and stimulating environment for our children to feel connected and have their sense of belonging in our service. This is why any feedback or any ideas would be appreciated by families, it can be regarding our menu or any specific experiences that your child is enjoying at home. Please share your ideas with us.
Weekly TheirCare Highlights Term 1 Week 7 Exploring Imaginary Play
This week our children from Lalor East PS and St John XXIII PS were able to engage in variety of indoor, outdoor and gym learning experiences. This week our children have been using their imagination to create and explore the environment around them, from using clay to create sculptures, to our usual cooking club and painting exploration.
Children have been an amazing creators while engaging in solitude or group play exploration. It was amazing to see how their imaginative play have taken them from use Lego to create houses, tents, old cars and planes to actually using chairs, blankets and pegs to transfer their creations by making a tent that covered most of the room.
Imagination unlocks the door to endless possibilities, encouraging children to explore new ideas and concepts. It provides children possibilities for action and expression, allowing them to develop their own unique ideas. Additionally, it aids in the development of problem-solving skills in children, as they utilise imaginary tools to navigate challenging situations.
