Kindness Matters!
On Friday 14th March David from Dolly's Dream presented a Kindness workshop to our Year 7 and Year 10s buddies. David knew that part of our Transition program is to link Year 7 students with a Year 10 "Buddy". He had them in discussion circles with their buddies creating conversation. The Kindness workshop promotes how kindness has a significant positive impact on everyone's mental health and that kindness helps to break the cycle of negative behaviour and promote positivity.
David's activities throughout the presentation hope to increase empathetic behaviours of students and to understand the power of words and actions. Have gave space for students to think how they could create moments where kindness and positive behaviours can lead to change. He helped guide students to think of ways that they themselves can practise kindness.
