 2025 North Central District Triathlon

On Thursday 6th of March, 7 Donald High School students travelled to Boort to compete in the Inter-School Triathlon event. Two students, Samuel Mortlock and Hugo Funcke, competed in the challenging individual event which consisted of a 4 km run, 12km ride and 300m swim. The school also had two teams that also competed, completing a 4km run, 16km ride and 300m swim.

Both Samuel and Hugo performed very strongly in all three disciplines resulting in Samuel finishing second in the junior boy’s section and Hugo third in the intermediate boy's event. Congratulations to both boys on this great effort.

Also, congratulations to our Intermediate girl’s and boy’s teams who competed strongly and pushed the place getters all the way.

The intermediate boys team included: Hugo, Daniel and Oakley

And the Intermediate girls’ team was: Patience, Layla and Halle

It was pleasing to see that all of our students gave their absolute all and they are to be congratulated on their efforts. We hope to see even more students put their hand up to compete next year.

Thanks to Leigh Funcke and Mr Tatchell who gave up their time to transport and support the students in Boort.
