Engaging in our Faith

Our school Friday playgroup is growing every week. Please tell anyone you know outside of the school with young children that they are welcome too. Chat and cuppa included of course! Even if you don't have a toddler just come for tea!
It was also lovely to have at least five parents come to our reflection on St Valentine's Day for 10 minutes after time in the playground at our regular Family Fridays. These SPARS (Stop Pray And Reflect) sessions will take place on the First Friday of each month. Next SPAR is Friday 7 March from 8.45 - 9 am.
I received this email from a parent about SPAR recently: -
" Thank you for sharing such a beautiful (and powerful) message during the prayer time, it was exactly what I needed and that made me feel so grateful."
Maybe this is what you need too to help you be the parent you want to be? Next session will be reflecting on the meaning of the Catholic season of Lent and how we can bring it into our homes.

Welcome Mass
On Thursday, we formally welcomed our community to the 2025 school year. We came together as a school community to pray that the Holy Spirit will bless us and be with us as we journey together into a new school year. We welcomed teachers, students and families who are new to our school – may you grow in strength and gentleness during your time with us.
The theme of the Mass inspires us to “share the light of Jesus.” We know how important it is to live our faith and follow Jesus’ example and his teachings. We can share the light of Jesus each and every day. We can make a difference by how we treat each other. When we are kind to each other and we use kind actions and words, the light of Jesus within us shines for others to see.
2025 is a Jubilee Year of Hope. The year calls Christians to action. Pope Francis calls for “signs of hope” in this Jubilee Year. It’s a time for us to grow spiritually, through prayer and participation in the life of the Church. How can we live out the Gospel that God became man to preach. Will we dedicate more time to prayer? Will we find more time to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation? Will we go on pilgrimage? Will we offer our time more to serve others or serve the Church?
Kind regards
Liana Stella
