Burwood Art Prize 2025

Entries for the 2025 Burwood Art Prize are now open!

The 2025 prize celebrates the theme I AM HERE: Celebrating Cultural Narratives and Perspectives, offering a platform for Sydney-based artists to share their unique stories through diverse mediums, including painting, drawing, photography, video, small sculpture and works on paper or canvas.

This year, the main prize has increased to $20,000, thanks to the generous co-sponsorship of Anson Group, with a total prize pool of $25,000.

Burwood Art Prize (open to all Sydney entrants)

$20,000 acquisitive

Burwood Local Prize (Burwood LGA residents only)

$2,500 non-acquisitive

Burwood Youth Prize (open to all Sydney entranced aged 16-20 only)

$2,500 non-acquisitive

Prize pool total: $25,000.

Winners will be announced at the Burwood Art Prize Opening Night on Thursday 29 May 2025.
