To our St Joseph’s Catholic College family, welcome back to a new and faith filled 2025 year.

I hope the Christmas season was a rewarding and relaxing time for you all and the celebration of Jesus’ birth allowed you time to reflect and give thanks for all that is good. Keep the people in our community, state, nation, and the world well within our prayers.

As always, we hit the new school year running starting with our Year 7 'Getting To Know You Day' on Tuesday, held at school.

The following week the whole school will come together for our Commencement Liturgy and celebration of student achievements from our 2024 HSC results and RoSA.

Take a quick breath, and we come to Ash Wednesday on 5 March and our Lenten journey in preparation for the Passion of Christ and Easter.

We celebrate our patron Saint, St Joseph’s Feast Day on 19 March, and or during this time we will be fund raising for our annual Project Compassion Appeal through Caritas Australia, and that’s just Term 1.

Catholic Schools and all of our Maitland and Newcastle Diocese will be celebrating a Jubilee year observing the theme for 2025 'One Call - One Mission – Pilgrams of Hope.'

I hope and Pray that 2025 will be a spiritual and rewarding year for you all.

FATHER IN HEAVEN,

MAY THE FAITH YOU HAVE GIVEN USIN YOUR SON, JESUS CHRIST, OUR BROTHER, AND THE FLAME OF CHARITY ENKINDLED IN OUR HEARTS BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, REAWAKEN IN US THE BLESSED HOPE FOR THE COMING OF YOUR KINGDOM.

MAY YOUR GRACE TRANSFORM USINTO TIRELESS CULTIVATORS OF THE SEEDS OF THE GOSPEL. MAY THOSE SEEDS TRANSFORM FROM WITHIN BOTH HUMANITY AND THE WHOLE COSMOS IN THE SURE EXPECTATION OF A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH, WHEN, WITH THE POWERS OF EVIL VANQUISHED, YOUR GLORY WILL SHINE ETERNALLY.

MAY THE GRACE OF THE JUBILEE REAWAKEN IN US,  PILGRIMS OF HOPE, A YEARNING FOR THE TREASURES OF HEAVEN. MAY THAT SAME GRACE SPREAD THE JOY AND PEACE OF OUR REDEEMER THROUGHOUT THE EARTH. TO YOU OUR GOD, ETERNALLY BLESSED, BE GLORY AND PRAISE FOR EVER.
