Deewardrop Private Speech Pathology Services
St. Gabriels is in a privileged position to be offering fortnightly speech pathology appointments onsite, through Deewardrop Speech Pathology.
These sessions would be at a cost to families; funded either through NDIS, Medicare rebate (with a GP referral) or parent funded/out of pocket cost.
If your child accesses speech pathology outside of school, this may be an alternative for your family, as we understand that attending sessions outside of school is sometimes difficult due to time constraints or logistical reasons.
If you would like some more information about accessing this service, please see the attached information, email Ashlee (aowen@sgreservoir.catholic.edu.au) or collect an information pack from the school office, which will include information about the pricing, session duration and the organisation of sessions.
Harmony Day: Friday 21 March 2025
At St Gabriel's, we are fortunate to be part of such a culturally rich and diverse community.
We invite all children to join us in celebrating Harmony Day, a special occasion to acknowledge and embrace our diversity and the vibrant contributions it brings to our community.
Harmony Day brings the opportunity to reflect on fostering a sense of belonging for everyone. It’s a chance to honor the richness of our multicultural community and celebrate the many cultures and connections that make Australia unique.
How will we celebrate?
- Children are invited to wear orange or dress in a traditional outfit to show their support.
- The celebration will include a shared snack giving children the opportunity to taste a variety of multicultural food these include:
- Italian: sweet biscuit
- Lebanese / Greek: flatbread and hummus and tzatziki
- Asian: ice tea watered down / mochi
- Australia: vegemite and butter sandwich
- Indian: vegetable samosa
- Oranges as a pallet cleanse and for orange harmony day
- Engaging activities will be held within their hubs to further explore and celebrate cultural diversity.
Let's celebrate our diversity and connection and honour a sense of belonging for all on Harmony Day!
Raising Kids in A Digital World
Webinar for Parents & Carers
To further enhance parent and community knowledge and understanding about digital wellbeing, we invite all parents to attend an online Webinar - Raising Kids in a Digital World.
Technology offers fantastic educational opportunities, helping children develop essential skills for the future. However, it is equally important to remain vigilant and ensure that children are engaging with technology in a safe, responsible, and age-appropriate manner. By working together, we can create a healthy balance between technology use and overall well-being. Please use this link to register for the webinar bit.ly/parents20march.
