History

This fortnight, we began our History unit for Term 1. Over the course of the unit, we will be looking into significant events and social groups that have shaped Australia today, including the arrival of different migrant groups. To better understand our class and their personal history, each student pinned their connection to culture and country on a World Map, inspired by the activity in the ABC show ‘The School That Tried to End Racism’.  It was a wonderful opportunity to see a visual representation of the diversity of NMPS, and for students to tell us about their cultural identity.
