VOLUNTEERS
Please sign up today to help out at the fete:
Donate a volunteer Parents often use the fete as an opportunity for a young person they know to gain some employment experience. The young person is paid by the parent/adult to work at the fete. It could be on a stall they are interested in or as a set up or pack down person if they like flexing their muscles. Of course, young people and students are also welcome to volunteer their time without payment. If you know a young person or past student who would like to be involved, please put their name and your name + mobile on the volunteer roster.
Many hands… If you don’t like the hustle and bustle of working on a stall, we need many strong hands to help with set up and pack down. Please contact logistics team or add your name to the volunteer roster under logistics.
Clothes stall NEEDS MORE HELPERS NOW PLEASE to sort clothes every school day starting today in the school office foyer. Please message Kathleen 0419387764
People – there are so many ways you can help out. It is a super fun day and you make heaps of friends working together at the fete.
VOLUNTEER TALES FROM FETE DAY
I knew she was my friend when I saw her holding a poo emoji
It had been a long morning, setting up marquees and tables for Kid Zone. But it was a team effort, and we were having fun chatting, eating brekky burgers from the BBQ and creating exciting games for kids to play at the fete. We had a Choc Toss table where players throw a gold coin on to a block of chocolate to win. We had a footy kicking competition. We had a basketball hoop comp and soccer goals. Kids were going to love winning the soft toy prizes and purchasing the Mystery Bags.
And then there was the Toilet Roll Toss. The aim of the game was to throw a roll of toilet paper into a ‘toilet’ – a white bucket with a toilet seat on top. So much fun, so silly, so disgusting! One of the volunteers was putting the finishing touches on this homage to Melbourne’s world-class sewerage system when she held up a poo emoji sticker. Brilliant! We have been friends ever since.
