It is always great to see so many parents/ carers coming into school to participate in our Student Support Group (SSG) meetings in week 5 of each term. We hope that you found these meetings a positive and valuable opportunity to meet with your child's teacher and discuss their progress as well as areas for future development. If you weren't able to have an SSG meeting, it's not too late to make a time with your child's teacher. You can communicate directly with the teacher about this or leave a message at the front office.
There were some changes to the SSG process this term as a result of the work of the Home School Communication focus groups which were held last term, involving both parents and staff working together to improve communication between school and home. This included the introduction of a Pre-SSG Prompt form to share with teachers before the meeting. We also reviewed and changed the SSG meeting agenda to include wellbeing, activities of daily living, careers planning and how families can support at home.
We invite you to provide feedback about your experience with the recent SSG's so we can continue to improve the process. If you have some information to share, I encourage you to chat with Lauren or I or to email us. We look forward to hearing from you!

We are looking forward to celebrate Book Week next week with some fun whole school activities based on the theme 'Symphony of Stories.' We encourage everyone to join the fun and dress up as their favourite book character on Tuesday 25th of August.
Classes will attend the Father's Day Stall from Tuesday 1st to Friday 4th of September. Students from our Senior Secondary have been busy making and ordering a range of products and will open and run the stall at our school for students to attend and purchase a gift. It's wonderful that our students have this opportunity to purchase a special item to thank their father or a significant person in their life.

You may have noticed some new Pedestrian signs in the parent drop off and pick up car park.
We request that all parents and carers support their children to follow the path where the pedestrian signs are and cross at the crossing.

Using the crossing provides great modelling for our off our students to cross at the safest location and is much safer than walking across the car park. Thank you for supporting us to keep everyone safe during the busy periods before and after school.
