What a busy couple of weeks it’s been. We have had the Special Friends and Fathers Day Breakfast, Book Week Parade, the St James Soiree, the Holt Carnival, the St James Got Talent Show and the Footy Colours Day on the final day of term.
A huge thanks to Katherine Power and Kate Guirguis for organising the Special Friends and Fathers Day Breakfast and the prep team of volunteers that helped out including Kat, Anika Jane, Mary and Susan.
Thanks also to the volunteers that helped out on the day at the Holt Athletics and for organising the footy colours day for our final day of term.
We wish you a restful and happy school holiday and we will see you back for the final term of school.
Dads Drinks
As it's school holidays on the 21 September, the next Dads and special friends drinks will return in October and are on Thursday 19 October at 7.30pm at Brighton Hotel.
Special Friends and Grandparents Day
Please pop the date in your calendars for the Grandparents / Special Friends Day on Friday the 27th of October. Please let your grandparents and special friends know. If each St James family could please bring a plate of food to share on the day that would be appreciated. If it is non-perishable food such as biscuits etc., it can be dropped off at the school reception before the day. Please no items that contain nuts.
Christmas Carols and Party
The Christmas Party and Carols will go ahead this year, so please pop the date Thursday
30th of November in your calendars.
There will be carols by the year level, a presentation to Vinnies, a craft stall run by year 5, food to purchase and a visit from Santa. Further details to follow.
Presidents for 2024
Virginia and Connie have volunteered their time for the last 2 years and are retiring at the end of this year as co-presidents of the PA and we are looking for a new president / co-president to take over for 2024. Please let Virginia or Connie know if you are interested and there are plenty of handover notes and a comprehensive google drive with everything saved.
We would love to have you!
THANKS FROM THE PA
We are very grateful for the continued support of all our parents, the school and local community. All our PA members are volunteers who generously give up their own time to organise our school events.
Contributions from our fundraising efforts will be put towards many areas across the school. Some initial ideas that have strong support from the PA group and school community are
1) Fixing the roof at school 2) A New surface and outdoor furniture or play equipment for the Tilley playground 3) Improving school security 4) New school iPads.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly:
