French Connection-Fete Addition

A large variety of food and beverages will be on offer at the school fete on 21 October.

The following French food stalls - that you might have seen around Melbourne markets before -  will attend and serve traditional dishes:

LA LOUCHE Crêperie: https://www.facebook.com/lalouchecuisine/

La Louche Crêperie create authentic crepes and galettes using fresh and locally sourced produce.

Galettes are made with buckwheat flour and are usually filled with savoury foods such as meat, vegetables, egg, and cheese.  Galettes are traditional main dish in Frances’s North West regions:  Normandy and Brittany

FRENCHEESE: https://www.facebook.com/frencheeseaustralia/

Frencheese will be serving up raclette.

Raclette comes from the French word that means “to scrape” and refers to both the type of cheese and the traditional Swiss dish it is served with. Cheese legend says the dish originated hundreds of years ago when farmers would heat up a piece of cheese over the open fire for a hearty and filling meal.

Raclette is particularly delicious over roasted potatoes and root vegetables, pickles, and cured meats.
