Rock Trivia

Last Saturday night, the Parents' Association (PA) orchestrated a highly enjoyable gathering for POPS parents.

The event featured singing, karaoke, and an array of creative rock-themed costumes. Attendees embraced the spirit of legendary figures such as David Bowie, Slash, Avril Lavigne, and Amy Winehouse. 

The silent auction items garnered significant interest, and the auction, deftly conducted by Mr Taylor, for the year-level art pieces, witnessed spirited bidding.

The success of this evening was made possible through the unwavering dedication of Mrs Berardini, Mrs Di Gennaro, Mrs Graham, and their devoted team of helpers. We are truly fortunate to have such an active Parents' Association.

Furthermore, we extend our gratitude to Mr Taylor and Jellis Craig for their generous support as gold sponsors of the event.

Monday Meet and Greets

Last Monday, Mrs. Bullen and I hosted a meet and greet session for parents of students in the 5/6 grade, which took place in the Arts Centre. It was a delightful opportunity to engage in conversations and connect with the parents who joined us, sharing insights about their children's progress.

We are pleased to announce that the next Monday Meet and Greet is scheduled for Monday, October 23, and it is specifically designed for parents of Year 2 students. This session will take place from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Working Bee

We extend an open invitation to everyone to join us for the Working Bee this Friday after school. The more hands we have, the lighter the work, and it provides an excellent opportunity to instill in our children the values of community involvement and citizenship development.

Our agenda for the day includes cleaning out the chicken coop, tending to the vegetable patch, planting some tube stock, and spreading mulch on the garden beds. We'll also be serving sausages in bread for the hardworking volunteers around 5pm. We hope to see you there!
