Welcome to Term Four

We would like to welcome all the new families who are joining us and welcome back to all our familiar faces. Term Three was full of rich learning opportunities that deepened students’ growth mindsets and resilience, including our ‘Enter the Multiverse’ School Production, Year Six Camp at ADANAC and a range of sporting events. Seeing students collaborate and encourage and support their peers throughout these experiences was amazing! 

 

Term Four marks the final stage in the learning journey of our Year Sixes at GWPS, as they transition from the leaders of our fabulous school to their new secondary schools. To celebrate this significant rite of passage, we have many exciting events planned such as our Year Six Graduation Ceremony on the 7th of December and Celebration Day at Luna Park on the 13th of December.  There will also be a Statewide Transition Day on Tuesday 12th December, where students attending a government school will get their first taste of high school.

 

Please expect further information regarding these important events to be communicated to you as the term progresses. If you or your child have any questions or queries about graduation or Year Seven transition, please feel free to come and speak with any member of the Year Six team or Mr Catalano. We are available to support in any way we can.

Term 4 Reminder

Glen Waverley Primary School is a SunSmart school. It is an expectation that students wear a hat during their recess and lunch breaks, along with other situations where they are outside for extended periods of time. If your child is not wearing a hat, they will be required to play in our stage area, where they will be safe and under cover.

  • 07/12 - Year Six Graduation
  • 13/12 - Celebration Day at Luna Park
  • 18/12 - Semester 2 Reports distributed @ 5pm
  • 20/12 - Last Day of 2023 (dismissal at 1:30pm)
