Encore Nominations – Music 2 & Music Extension

Performing Arts staff are super proud of students in this year’s Music 2 and Music Extension classes, who have worked with diligence and maturity to develop both excellent technical skills and beautiful musicality on their respective instruments.  Five of the class have been nominated for inclusion in Encore, NESA’s showcase of exemplary HSC performances.

Congratulations to Oliver Wong (clarinet), Max Bloomfield (marimba, vibraphone, unpitched percussion), Zachary Annett (French horn), Michelle Hayes (violin) and Toby Gough (bassoon).

We would like to acknowledge the wonderful teaching of these students’ instrumental teachers and also their fabulous accompanists.

Encore Nomination – Music 1

Congratulations to Jock Litchfield from our Music 1 class on his nomination for Encore.  Jock is a drum kit player who has worked consistently over the last few years to develop excellent skills on his instrument.

Thank you to Jock’s instrumental teacher, Mrs Cass Key, and his accompanists Matt Arthur and Luke Ferguson.

Congratulations Toby Gough

Congratulations to Toby Gough, who has received multiple nominations for HSC Showcases - Toby was nominated for both his Individual Performance and Group Performance for OnStage, in addition to his nomination for Encore.  We think that this is a first for KWS!

Nine Lessons and Carols

SUNDAY 3 DECEMBER, 4PM – SAVE THE DATE

This term our choirs and orchestra students are presenting a traditional Christmas Carol service, with free admission to the public.  We are hoping that this event will provide us the opportunity to spread a bit of Christmas cheer and also to foster links with the broader Orange community. Further information will be emailed to our performers.  Please come along and celebrate the spirit of Christmas!
