Obento: A Delicious Cultural Experience
Obento, a packed Japanese meal, is more than just food; it's a reflection of Japanese culture and craftsmanship. Year 12 Japanese students showed excellent teamwork in creating their own obento with the delicious Chicken Namban (deep-fried chicken coated in a tangy, sweet sauce served with tartar sauce), Tamagoyaki (a delicate and savory Japanese omelette), and Japanese Potato Salad. Obento is a meticulously crafted meal, usually consisting of various dishes carefully arranged in a bento box. The process involves preparing delicious dishes and paying attention to presentation and aesthetics. Year 12 Japanese students embraced this tradition enthusiastically, and the results were impressive! It was a remarkable way for our Year 12 Japanese students to connect their classroom learning with real-world experiences.
