Principal's Message

Dear parents, carers, students and staff,

As we arrive at the end of Term 3, I wanted to take this opportunity to reflect our achievements so far this term.

Student of the week achievements:

Like every Term, we acknowledged and celebrated the achievement of learning and demonstrating the values for many students. It gives me immense pleasure to acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding work, dedication, and achievements of our students across all year levels. Their commitment to learning and being their best is truly commendable, and it is a testament to their hard work and the support they receive from our dedicated teaching staff and parents. Congratulations to all students for their outstanding accomplishments in Term 3. Keep up your great effort.

ICAS ENGLISH:

Well done to the students who participated in this year’s ICAS. Whilst we are still waiting for the maths results, I am pleased to announce that the following students achieved above average results in English:

Credit (above results and in the top 29% - 12% across Australia)

Xena Kaur Surya

Sriram Vishwaroobasrisangar

William Milburn

Principal’s Award:

Congratulations to our Principal’s award recipients for Term 3.

Parent Opinion Survey:

Thank you to all parents who took the time to provide valuable feedback through our Parent Opinion Survey. Your insights are invaluable in helping us continually improve our school and the learning experience for our students. We will carefully review the feedback received and are committed to implementing positive changes based on your suggestions. The interim results are very positive, and I thank you for supporting our school. More detailed data will be shared in Term 4.

Book Week:

This term we celebrated Book Week. Reading improves your focus, memory, empathy and communication. It assists to build knowledge as well as imagination. Students and staff were encouraged to dress up and embrace characters from a book. Our students and parents really enjoyed the parade.

Father’s Day:

Thank you to all our families who supported Father’s Day. It was a great turn out and it was lovely to see our families and students come together as a community. It was a reminder of the contributions the men and special people make in the lives of children.

Production:

Term 3 our school celebrated our annual KVPS musical. I am so incredibly proud of our students who showcased their amazing talent. I am grateful to all of the classroom teachers who attended on various nights to support and supervise our students backstage to ensure the night was successful. We also had many teacher and ES volunteers on the night- thank you for being there for our school community. The musical takes a great deal of effort from many, I appreciate everyone’s contributions. We sold over 774 tickets across the 3 nights!!

NEW school Values

We are very excited to announce our new School Values! With valued input from staff, students and families, we have determined that Kilberry C.A.R.E.S (cooperation, acceptance, respect, engagement & safety) best reflects our priorities and journey moving forward!

We are very much looking forward to promoting these values on our return to school in Term 4 and exploring with students how we can all best demonstrate these in everyday school life! 🤩

Thank you Kilberry community for your input!!

Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to the students who show up every day doing their very best, the staff who work tirelessly to support our students and of course our families who are always supportive of our wonderful school. I wish you all a happy, restful and safe Term break. I look forward to welcoming everyone back in Term 4.

Kindly,

Aisha
